About Gajraj
I began playing tabla at the age of 2.5, first guided by my father, then under the tutelage of Late Shri Khageswar Ojha, and I am currently learning from Pt. Kulamani Sahoo. My foundation is steeped in tradition, with an open ear to contemporary sounds and collaborations.
I am a recipient of the CCRT scholarship awarded by the Government of India and secured first place at the national level in my Visharad examination from the Akhil Bharatiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya (ABGMV)
Beyond the stage, I create education- and music-focused tabla content on Instagram, where a community of 7,000+ music lovers follows my work. I also enjoy cooking, travelling, and Computer Science — but music is life.
